Refund & Cancellation Policy

DigiTrustly provides independent certification and verification services. Fees are charged for the assessment, review and certification process and do not constitute payment for a guaranteed approval.

Certification Assessment Fees

Assessment and review fees cover the work performed by DigiTrustly in evaluating an application against the applicable certification criteria.

Approval is not guaranteed. If an application does not meet the required criteria and certification is refused, the assessment fee is not refundable merely because the applicant was not approved.

A DigiTrustly certificate is earned through assessment and cannot be purchased.

Certification Periods

Where a customer purchases a certification period of one, two or three years, the selected period applies once certification has been approved and activated.

Certification does not automatically renew unless explicitly stated during checkout. Customers who do not wish to continue after their certification period simply do not renew.

Cancellation After Certification

A customer may request that an active certification be discontinued. Discontinuing certification does not normally entitle the customer to a refund for an assessment already performed or an active certification period already purchased, except where required by applicable law.

When certification ends, expires, is suspended or is revoked, the DigiTrustly certificate and verification seal may no longer be presented as evidence of an active certification.

Revoked or Suspended Certification

DigiTrustly may suspend or revoke certification where the certified website, service or release no longer satisfies the applicable requirements, where misleading information was supplied, or where the DigiTrustly certificate or seal is misused.

Suspension or revocation does not automatically create a right to a refund.

Statutory Rights

Nothing in this policy limits any mandatory cancellation, withdrawal, refund or consumer rights that apply under applicable law.
